A 14-year-old is now dead after being shot in Merced.
Merced PD responded to a shots fired call at the 400 block of West 5th Street in Merced at 7:29 p.m.
Merced Police originally responded to reports of gunshots fired.
Officers arrived on scene and located a 14-year-old victim suffering from gunshots wounds. The 14-year old was later pronounced deceased. A 65 year old female was also located suffering from gunshot wounds. The 65 year old victim was transported to an area hospital for her injuries, according to Merced Police.
Detectives are investigating the incident.
