At approximately 11:09 a.m., a hit-and -run incident took place on R and 13 Streets in Merced.
According to officers, the suspect’s vehicle struck a pedestrian as the suspect was backing out in a parking lot.
The suspect’s vehicle, vaguely described as a “blue vehicle” then proceeded to drive off.
A 36-year-old female was then transported by Riggs to Mercy Medical Center for lower hip and back pain. The female did not lose consciousness, or suffer any major injuries.
This incident is still under investigation.
