On November 15, 2019 officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Southport Way in Gustine.
Officers made contact with the driver and sole occupant, 29-year-old Hector Delacruz, of Gustine, who is known to law enforcement, for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
Gustine PD arrested Hector Delacruz who is suspected of setting two separate fires in the 200 block of Via Borrelli that occurred on November 8th and again on November 11th, according to Gustine PD.
Both incidents occurred at the same location.
Delacruz was arrested without incident and was booked into the Merced County Sheriff’s Detention Facility for arson of property, arson of inhabited structure of property, vandalism: $400 or more, violation of probation, license suspended/revoked reckless driving, and revocation – post release community supervision.
