On April 30th, 2019 at approximately 11:06 PM, Atwater Police responded to a burglar alarm activation at Bobbie’s Food Corner located at 1401 Atwater Boulevard, according to a recent press release.

The store owner was already on-scene upon officers’ arrival and described two Black male adults who he said had broken a window to the business, entered and took items and then fled the area on foot.

Officer Wisdom who searched the area, located one of the suspects who was identified as 28-year-old Wendell Moton of Fresno. Moton was found in possession of some of the items taken from the store.

A short time later, officers located the second suspect who was identified as 19-year-old Raymond Richardson, also of Fresno. Richardson also was found to be in possession of some of the stolen merchandise.

Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Merced County Main Jail, each on a single count of burglary.
