A 52-year-old man was airlifted after he sustained gunshot wounds to the neck and arm in Merced.
The Merced Police Department responded to the 100 block of East 12th Street for a shooting at 12:28 a.m.
When officers arrived on scene, officers located a male gun shot victim. The victim was transported to an out of area hospital for his injuries. The motive for the shooting remains unknown, police say.
