Just after 3:00 p.m. Sheriff’s Deputies were in pursuit of a vehicle described as a White Chevrolet in the Dos Palos area after shooting a Sheriff’s Deputy.
Shots were fired from the suspect. The suspect was able to get away.
A Merced County sheriff’s deputy was wounded. He sustained non-life threatening injuries.
At around 3:48 p.m. A carjacking was reported. The suspect is believed to have carjacked a vehicle at gun point. The suspect is believed to have carjacked a 2013 GMC. It’s unknown if the incident is related at this time.
Officers are currently searching for suspect.

The vehicle the suspect was last driving is believed to be a White 2013 GMC Sierra Crew Cab, CA. License # 25599H1.
It’s unknown at this time what led to the shooting.
