The Tioga, a 70 unit apartment building in downtown Merced, officially opened on April 1, 2020.
The Tioga, formally known as “The Tioga Hotel”, went through a $15 million renovation project.
Since the opening on April 1st, nearly half of the units are occupied.
Rent starts at $985 and increases with the size and location of the apartment.
Utilities include: Water, sewage, and trash. Every unit has a washer and dryer. The tenant will have to pay for their own PG&E bill. Free wifi is only included in the lobby.
Applicants will have the following reviewed: Credit history, criminal background, rental history, employment history, and income has to be three times the rent. If there’s a concern about credit or income, options can be pursued, according to The Tioga Community Manager Alexis Bondch.
