Back in June 2018, the Walmart Supercenter in Atwater started their grocery pickup service which is benefiting many Merced County residents.

Assistant Manager of online grocery pickup Jesse Bowen tells Merced Daily, “We have two pickup options, online and store pickup. You basically download the grocery app (separate from the Walmart app). You order any grocery items you want in the store, but it has to be a $30 minimum, you get to pickup your time spot and day as long as its in advance. The morning of your order, Walmart employees take the product off the shelves; we get the best produce, best quality and the furthest expiration date for our customers. When you arrive in the pickup area you can check in with the Kiosk or call the number on the sign and we will take it straight to your vehicle.”

“This is good for people who are disabled, who want to save time, who don’t want to go in a crowded store – its just very convenient,” says Jesse.
