For nearly 40-years, several stories have been told about paranormal activity happening on the grounds of Castle Air Museum, most notable, the famous Boeing B-29 Superfortress.

Joe Pruzzo, the Executive Director of Castle Air Museum, says he heard stories dating back to 1982, a year after the famous bomber arrived at Castle Air Museum.

Shortly after the Boeing B-29 Superfortress arrived at Castle Air Museum, two dog tags were found near the tail gun of the aircraft.

One of the stories Joe heard was about a locked tool case being inside the locked aircraft. The tool case was found unlocked with the tools rearranged, according to Pruzzo.

“I just heard stories. I don’t recall of anyone that I came in contact with that had something happen to them specifically,” Pruzzo said.

The Boeing B-29 Superfortress was used in combat during the Korean War, Pruzzo said.

Several years ago, paranormal investigators claimed to have sensed a spirit, according to Pruzzo.

“I have been out here late at night. I never experienced nothing, so who knows,” Pruzzo said.

Castle Air Museum is located at 5050 Santa Fe Drive, Atwater, CA 95301.
