Atwater’s public works crew had their hands full this morning.

Atwater Police Chief Michael Salvador says they gave trespass notices to the homeless living on private property on Sycamore Avenue. All homeless had to leave the area by today, Wednesday.

Public works began to clean-up the trash early this morning. Fire Personnel also abated any fire hazards within the area.

The goal was to reclaim the property back to the property owner.

One man was arrested due to having an outstanding warrant, according to Salvador.

All homeless were offered services. No information on how many accepted services were available, according to Salvador.

More than 10 people were believed to be living in the area.
