Symple Soul, a new food truck, is now open at Merced County’s Landing Zone.
Symple Soul offers soul food with a twist, owner Kelly Turner says. All the food is made on the spot. The menu is limited to special burgers, chicken sandwiches, and specialty fries, but Kelly does plan to expand the menu in the near future.
Prices range from $3.00 to $11.00, pending on what you want.
SYMPLE SOUL WILL OFFER MORE THAN JUST FOOD:
Symple Soul provides Merced County residents between the ages of 16-26 years of age paid job opportunities, ready work experience, and time management skills, all doing it in a safe enviorment where they can mess up and not be fired, but mess up and get corrected, according to Kelly.
LOCALS WILL HELP LOCALS WHO NEED HELP:
Kelly is also the C.E.O of Symple Equazion, a non-profit organization that provides a transitional home for homeless young ladies at no charge. Some of the money made will continue to provide a home for these young ladies to stay in.
You can find Symple Soul at Merced County’s Landing Zone near Airdrome Entry and Santa Fe on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
