A Merced County volunteer firefighter, Benjamin Curran, opened up a welding business, Hot Shot Welds in 2020.

Benjamin, 21, says he came up with the name Hot Shots, inspired by a group of firefighters that do a lot of wild land firefighting in the mountains.

Benjamin says one of his main priorities is to grow his business big enough to where he will be able to donate more to events to those in need.

Hot Shot Welds offers custom builds: Bbq pits, waterfalls, interior and exterior furniture, sculptures, and general fabrication as well.

He says he attends to offer anyone in the fire industry 50% off.
