At around 8:51 pm a traffic collision involving a chevy pickup and Honda CR-V was reported on Ashby Road and Franklin Road in Merced.
According to CHP Officer Jessie Talbolt, one of the vehicles, for an unknown reason, drifted into the opposite lane at an unknown speed, and crashed head-on into the other vehicle.
One man who is reported to be in his 50’s was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.
Drugs or alcohol are not a factor in this collision, according to CHP Officer Talbot.
