At approximately 6:00 p.m., a report of an apparent dog attack took place near the area of 22nd Street in Merced.
When officers arrived on scene, they noted the male had severe wounds to his head region as well as missing an ear. The male was also very uncooperative, according to first responders on scene.
The male was then transported by Riggs to a Modesto trauma center.
Due to the man being very uncooperative, Riggs ambulance had to be followed by law enforcement.
