On Thursday, September 13, 2018, the Merced Police Department’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit (GVSU), Disruptive Area Response Team (DART) and patrol officers served a search warrant at 211 Park West Ave in Merced for a marijuana grow. During the search, officers located over 1500 marijuana plants, firearms and over $102,900.00 in cash. Officers seized the evidence and continued their investigation. During the course of their investigation, officers seized more rifles and handguns. The suspects involved in this case are still outstanding.
