A Winton man was struck and injured in a hit-and-run incident on Walnut Avenue.
CHP responded to the area of Walnut Avenue near Cypress Avenue for a man who was stuck by a vehicle at 8:12 p.m.
CHP Officer Lori Gonzales says an adult male was stuck and injured in a hit-and-run incident. The victim was crossing from the east of Walnut when he was struck by a vehicle. He landed on the west of the roadway, Gonzales says.
The victim was transported to an out of area hospital.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a possible Burgundy SUV, Gonzales says. The vehicle was last seen heading northbound on Walnut Avenue.
