A 21-year-old male is dead after a single vehicle rollover in Merced County.
Merced CHP responded to Livingston Cressey Road near Sultana for a single vehicle rollover on Monday at 4:50 p.m.
CHP officers found a 2008 Honda Civic with major rollover damage. Officers found the driver down an embankment, he was ejected from the accident, CHP say.
The driver died on scene, according to CHP.
The investigation determined the driver, an Atwater resident, was driving at a high-rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle, per witnesses.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to CHP.
No drugs or alcohol are believed to be a factor in the accident.
