A 19-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of child abuse, police say.
Merced Police say officers responded to Mercy Hospital on January 11, 2022 for suspected child abuse.
According to police, a toddler was taken to Mercy to be treated for injuries. Doctors confirmed the toddler had bone fractures. Mercy Personnel informed authorities that the toddler had injuries consistent with child abuse, not accidental injuries.
Detectives responded to assist with the investigation.
A search warrant was served at the possible location where the injuries occurred. An interview was conducted with the mother of the child who was identified as Kacielyn Lumanog Haines (19) of Merced.

Haines total bond amount is $130,000.00, according to jail records.
