A 19-year-old was airlifted after solo traffic collision in Merced County, CHP say.
A Planada man sustained major injuries after he was involved in a solo vehicle accident in Merced County.
CHP responded to a vehicle into an almond orchard at 9:10 a.m. near Walnut and Cressey Way.
A 19-year-old man was found out the vehicle when first responders arrived. He was airlifted near the area, where he was transported to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto for his injuries.
According to CHP Public Information Officer Eric Zuniga, a 19 year-old was driving westbound on Walnut Avenue, when he struck a concrete barrier near the intersection of Walnut and Cressey Way. He continued into an almond orchard where his vehicle overturned.
No drugs or alcohol are a factor in the collision, according to Zuniga.
