Merced Police are looking for a man accused of setting a Merced home on fire.
Andrew Joseph Ballard, a 29-year-old man, is accused of setting a home on fire at the 400 block of West North Bear Creek Drive, police say.
The investigation determined The residence was listed for sale and the current tenants were in the process of moving out, according to police. Andrew Ballard was identified as one of the tenants. Merced Police Detectives took over the investigation and ultimately determined Ballard was responsible for setting the residence on fire, police say.
Andrew’s previous arrest include: RECEIVING/POSSESS STOLEN PROPERTY, BATTERY ON A PERSON, DRIVE SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE, RESIST, DELAYS OR OBSTRUCTS ANY PUBLIC OFFICER, PEACE OFFICER OR EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN, ASSAULT W/ DEADLY WEAPON OR FORCE LIKELY TO PRODUCE GREAT BODILY INJURY, CORPORAL INJURY OF SPOUSE OR COHABITANT OF OPPOSITE SEX, OR MOTHER OR FATHER OF HIS/HER CHILD
