The Merced County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting incident that took place on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on Bobbi Avenue in Winton.

Deputies responded to reports of a male subject bleeding in front of a residence on Bobbi Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a man lying on the ground with apparent injuries.

The man was transported by air to a medical facility and is now deceased.

A search warrant was executed on Bobbie Avenue just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday night; however, the person of interest was not at home at the time.
