On December 28, 2018 at approximately 5:51 P.M. Merced Police officers were dispatched to the intersection of 18th and “G” for a traffic collision. Upon the officer’s arrival, they located a 50 year old female lying in the roadway with major injuries. Medical attention was immediately provided by Merced City Fire and Riggs. The female was transported to a local hospital where she later passed away.
Merced Police Officers are on scene conducting a Hit and Run Investigation. The vehicle that struck the victim was last seen going north on “G” Street from 18th Street. At this time officers are talking with witnesses trying to obtain a suspect and/or a suspect vehicle description.
