On January 7, 2018, the new Merced County District Attorney Kimberley Helms Lewis was sworn in, in front of the old Merced County Courthouse in Merced.
It’s been well over a decade since Merced County had a new Merced County District Attorney in office. During the ceremony, Kimberly gave thanks to the people who inspired her to campaign for a seat in the Merced County District Attorneys Office. She even thanked Larry Morse II for some of the accomplishments he did while he was in office.
Soon after Kimberly’s speech, several people waited to take pictures with the new Merced County District Attorney Kimberly Helms Lewis.
A celebration was then held at the American Legion Hall in Merced.
