A new business is now open in Merced.

R3 Gaming Lounge officially kicked off their grand opening in downtown Merced.

“We’re going to be running daily tournaments and gatherings  focused on video games,” said co-owner Quincy Adams. “R3 Gaming Lounge is like a gym for ESports.”

The subscription based business is $40 a month. “You can come in any day you want and play as many games as you want, said Quincy. “We do have one day passes but it’s a lot cheaper if you buy the subscription pass.”

R3 Gaming Lounge provides nearly 800 games.

R3 Gaming Lounge will also have daily head-to-head tournaments (bracket style) on site.

“We’ll  have several new games customers can play based on popularity,” said Quincy.

“R3 Gaming Lounge is for the community. There’s really not a lot going on in Merced for the younger generation,”  said co-owner Jennifer Payton.

The hours of operation are from Monday-Saturday 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

R3 Gaming Lounge is located at 850 W. Main St, Merced, Ca.
