On Monday, March 25, 2019, Atwater Police Chief Michael Salvador held a press conference regarding new information regarding the slaying of Ethan Morse.
The Atwater Chief of Police says, “Intial reports show that the suspect was wearing a black t-shirt and tan pants, We’re now changing the description, it’s now a hispanic male, wearing dark glasses, blue shirt, and red pants. This description was from video surveillance in the area.”
According to the Atwater Police Chief, the suspect is familiar with the area, the suspect wasn’t concerned there was video cameras watching him and fled on foot east on Fir Ave.
“We tracked him down at several locations and we believe the suspect may still be in the area,” says Salvador.
Atwater Police Chief did say, they will be releasing a photo of the suspect-possibly next week.
The motive is still unclear at this time, according to Salvador.
Atwater PD is being aided in the investigation by the following Law Enforcement Agencies: California Department of Justice Fresno Task Force, California Department of Justice Merced County Task Force.
