A Man was arrested after he allegedly struck another man in the head, police say.
Merced Police responded to the Merced Estates Mobile Home Park for an assault at 9:42 p.m.
An initial investigation determined that suspect Michael Mojica, 58, struck his neighbor,62, in the back of the head with a wooden object. The victim told police he was attacked in the darkness near the porch of a mobile home.
The victim was not seriously injured, according to police.
Mojica was contacted at his residence and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into custody at the Merced County Jail.
