Merced PD responded to 2040 E. Childs Avenue for a minor vehicle collision on July 15, 2020.
When officers arrived at 6:31 p.m., the victim told police, he accidentally left his vehicle in drive causing the vehicle to bump a car in front of him, According to the victim. No damage occurred to either vehicle.
A man (suspect pictured) struck the victim several times in the face after the victim refused to give the suspect money that the suspect demanded for the minor accident.
The suspect is described as a black male approximately 5-11, 150 lbs. in his 20’s or 30’s. The suspect vehicle is possibly a black Chrysler 200 or something similar.
