On 8/21/2018, at least two people reported someone throwing rocks at their vehicles on Atwater Blvd. near the overpass.
Around 11:30 PM, a CHP officer went to go check the area, but just as the CHP officer was about to leave, the officer’s vehicle was struck by a large rock.
Multiple units from Atwater PD and CHP were enroute. A perimeter was then set minutes later.
Unfortunately, no suspects were found or arrested. This has been an on going issue.
