On Tuesday, October 2, 2018, the Merced Police Department Officers located three firearms and 24 pounds of marijuana in a vehicle that belonged to Heriberto Mendoza- Lopez. Merced PD Officers served a search warrant at Heriberto’s home, 852 W. 23rd St. During the search, officers located a marijuana grow, packaging material, a stolen firearm and ammunition. Heriberto Mendoza- Lopez was arrested and booked at the Merced County jail for sales of narcotics, possession of stolen property and weapons charges. Maria Cruz Torres was arrested for weapons charges and possession of stolen property.
