The Atwater City Fire Department held their first open house at fire station 41 on Broadway Ave on Saturday from 10am-2pm.
Fire Station 41 Open House allowed the public to tour the inside of Fire Station 41.
One of the vehicles (pictured above) is the command vehicle. “It’s usually what the Battalion Chief would drive to lead fires, vehicle accidents, hazmats incidents, according to Captain Blaine Lopes of Atwater’s Station 42. “The operations run from this vehicle, organizing incidents the way it needs to be,”said Lopes.
Several of Atwater’s oldest fire department vehicles are also inside Station 41 (pictured above).
Atwater’s Fire Station 42 (located on Avenue 2) plans to have an open house in the near future.
