On 2/23/19, at approximately 1:52 pm, Abel Jimenez (25) was driving a 1999 Ford Crown Victoria east on Santa Fe Drive, west of Spaceport Entry, in the Number 1 lane at approximately 60 miles per hour.
Mr. Kaleb Yang (21) was driving a 2005 Scion TC west on Santa Fe Drive, west of Spaceport Entry in the Number 2 lane at approximately 50 miles per hour.
At this time, for an unknown reason, Mr. Jimenez allowed his vehicle to drift to the left, crossing over the raised concrete center divider, and into the westbound lanes of Santa Fe drive to where the front of the Ford Crown Victoria collided head on with the front of the 2005 Toyota Scion.
As a result, Jimenez was transported to doctors for major injuries and Yang to Mercy for moderate injuries. Mr. Jimenez was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Collision is still under investigation.
