Atwater PD responded to the area of the 300 block of Secretariat Drive just after 11:00 a.m. for a train vs pedestrian incident.
The male adult was located shortly after Atwater PD arrived in the area. The man was clipped by the train while walking on the tracks, police say. He was then transported to a local hospital for his injuries.
The man later admitted he wanted to harm himself, according to Atwater PD.
