At approximately 12:29 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Pioneer Road with a cross of Volta Road in the outskirts of Los Banos.
According to first responders on scene, one woman was struck by a vehicle after checking her mailbox outside her residence. The woman suffered a possible fractured femur and head trauma, but she was still conscious and breathing.
The woman was then transported by Riggs to memorial hospital.
The vehicle stayed on scene.
Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in this incident.
