On March 21, 2019, at around 3:18 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian accident on Walnut Avenue and Winton Way in Winton.
CHP Officer Noe Lomeli, tells Merced Daily, “A 13-year-old male juvenile, ran across the street on Walnut Avenue and was struck by 2003 Jetta traveling west bound of Walnut Avenue.”
The driver stayed on the scene and complied with officers.
The juvenile was transported by Riggs to a local hospital where he only sustained minor injuries.
Drugs nor Alcohol were not a factor in this accident.
