On March 26, 2019, at around 8:05 a.m., a solo vehicle rollover was reported at southbound 99 and Liberty Avenue.
When first responders arrived on scene, they found a 1999 Ford pickup truck on its roof, with one male in his 30’s inside the vehicle.
Due to the pickup being near the railroad tracks, in coming trains were stopped.
CHP Officer Eric Zuniga, tells Merced Daily, “For unknown reasons the driver was driving southbound, lost control and rolled several times ending up on its roof, near the railroad tracks.”
The adult male sustained major injuries and was transported to an unknown trauma center, according to Zuniga.
The accident remains under investigation.
