The family friendly Hunter Farms Pumpkin Patch opened to the public on Saturday, September 28, 2019.

Hunter Farms originally established in 1971. The farm primarily grows Almonds and Pistachios. It was only seven years ago Hunter Farms opened “Hunter Farms Pumpkin Patch” to the public.

“During the drought, we attempted to plant trees, they all started to die, due to high PH levels from the sulfuric acid we put in the ground, so we just thought why not plant a corn maze and put some pumpkins out in that area,” said co-owner Scott Hunter. “I remember thinking if we can just get 10 cars to show up in our parking lot i’ll be happy. People just kept coming and coming, I just thought lets just do this again next year and just kept adding things ever since.”

Hunter Farms Pumpkin Patch now has seven attractions. The seven attractions are: Time Travel Tractor, Corn Maze, Barnyard Bounce, Billykens’ Blaster, Hay Ride, Corn Chute, and Zip-Bee!

Hunter Farms Pumpkin Patch is open 11 a.m. to dusk on weekdays and 10 a.m. to dusk on weekends.

Hunter Farms Pumpkin Patch is located at 2985 SP Ave. in Atwater.
