On January 24, 2019, the Merced County homeless count was conducted by several volunteers throughout Merced County. According to the homeless count survey, homelessness grew in 2019 with an 18 percent increase with 607 compared to the 2018 survey of 514.
Cressey, El Nido, Gustine, Hilmar, Le Grand, Planada, Snelling, and South Dos Palos had zero homeless people.
