On December 6, 2018, the Merced Police Department’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit (GVSU) developed information that a subject was selling drugs from a room at the Siesta Hotel in Merced. GVSU and DART officers served a search warrant a room occupied by several subjects inside.
During the search, officers located a loaded revolver, ammunition and methamphetamine. Officers arrested 24-year-old gang member Jonathan Zamora for firearm and drug charges. He was later booked at the Merced County Jail for the mentioned charges.
