On November 18, 2018, at approximately 7:58 A.M., a report of a solo accident involving a semi-truck crashing into a tree on Southbound Highway 99 near Applegate Rd. exit in Atwater was reported.
According to officer Zuniga, the semi-truck crashed into the guard rail and then crashed into a tree pinning a 64 -year-old man inside. The male driver was then flown to a Modesto Hospital sustaining major injuries.
