Firefighters responded to the area of Elm Avenue and N. Winton Way for a structure fire at 5:33 a.m.
The house was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived on scene.
A section of N. Winton Way was quickly shut down.
Fire crews were able to contain the house fire, saving an attached apartment building and detached garage.
7 people made it out of the house fire, 1 person made it out of the attached apartment building, according to Atwater Battalion Chief Andrew Overbay.
No injuries were reported.
Red Cross will be assisting the occupants of the house fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to Atwater Battalion Chief Andrew Overbay.
