The Merced Police Department has arrested Lawrence Reyes.
Lawrence is a 71 year old Merced resident who was wanted for failing to register as a sex offender within five days of his birthday.
He is now in custody and according to jail records his total bail amount is $20,500.00.
Lawrence is also currently listed on Meganslaw. According to the website, his original charge was for lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age back in the late 1970’s.
