On the early morning of Wednesday, February 27, 2019, the City of Merced began cleaning up the enormous homeless encampment off Highway 59 and Santa Fe in Merced.
There were few transients still in the area trying to gather a few belongings along with some homeless advocates. Several MPD officers and Sheriff’s Deputies are on scene as well for precaution.
