At approximately 1:48 p.m., a solo vehicle rollover on northbound Highway 99 just south of the Childs Avenue exit was reported.
When first responders arrived on scene they confirmed a 1990 Toyota Tacoma was on its side.
Upon further investigation officers determined that the vehicle rolled over several times while two people were inside the vehicle.
An adult male out of Sacramento was uninjured, but unfortunately, the 67-year-old passenger from Michigan who was not wearing a seat belt was not so lucky. He was pronounced deceased on the scene, according to CHP officer Eric Zuniga.
Drugs or Alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the accident.
