The Atwater Police Department has launched a new service designed to assist residents that were involved in traffic accidents, in the City of Atwater, get copies of the investigation report from the comfort of their own home, according to Atwater Police Chief Michael Salvador.
The Department has teamed up with Carfax to provide an ecommerce portal to obtain traffic accident reports in the City of Atwater.
All a user needs are internet access, their name, date of the incident, and a case number. You then go to the police department tab on the City’s website, click on the Request Traffic Accident Report Online tab, fill out the form, and choose the appropriate form of payment. Once completed, the requestor will have access to the report for printing. All transactions are secure and there is a $20.00 charge for the report.
Atwater PD hopes that this new service will assist drivers involved in a traffic accident complete claims quicker and more efficiently taking away the stress that comes with being involved in a traffic collision.
