An adult male was shot multiple times near a restaurant on Hammatt Avenue and Walnut Avenue in Livingston.
Livingston Police responded to a shots fired call in the area around 4:20 p.m.
Officers located a shooting victim, who sustained multiple gun shot wounds, according to Livingston Police Chief Chuck Hale.
An early investigation believes an altercation took place near the restaurant.
The shooting suspect was last seen east of Walnut. The suspect is described as being a hispanic male, wearing red and black clothing, according to Hale.
