On March 16, 2019, Merced Police Department (MPD) officers responded to the 1100 block of Loughborough Dive for a shots fired call. When officers arrived, they found an adult male who had been shot. The victim in the shooting was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The suspect in the shooting was described as a younger male. At this time, MPD detectives are following up on leads in the case.
