On September 14, 2018, Merced Police Department (MPD) officers responded to the 2900 block of Tuxford Ct for a home invasion robbery. The victims reported that they were in their residence, when two armed individual’s entered their home through an unlocked door. The two suspects were armed, one with a handgun and the other with a shotgun. The two suspects demanded money from the victims. The victims did not have any money, so the suspects demanded jewelry, electronics and cellphones. One of the suspects held two of the victims at gunpoint. As this was occurring, the second suspect forced the third victim around the house collecting various items. After collecting various items, the suspects fled the area.
As detectives followed up on the case, they determined that the suspects were staying at 255 Snowhaven Ct #62. At this residence, detectives contacted Michael Felix and Jesus Jimenez. Officers then obtained a search warrant for the residence. While searching the residence, detectives located a loaded handgun and a shotgun. Officers further located electronics, cellphones, and jewelry belonging to the victims. Detectives also located the clothing Jimenez and Felix were wearing when they committed the home invasion. In addition, officers located over 300 Xanax tablets.
Jimenez and Felix refused to make any statements. Felix was found to be a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms. Both Jimenez and Felix were booked into Merced County Jail for several felonies including robbery and burglary.
