The Children’s Place is still open, however, the company filed bankruptcy and is expected to close a majority of their mall locations. It’s unknown if the Merced Mall location will be on that list.

J.C Penney’s also filed for bankruptcy this year after being more than $4 billion in debt.

Since the beginning of 2020, Work World (moved), Game Stop, Love Xpress, Sunglasss Hut, Vitamin World, Mens Wearhouse, and New York & Company have closed inside the Merced Mall.
