Hundreds of Merced residents show up to the Loughborough Community Town Hall Block Party in Merced.
The event was on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the corner of Loughborough Drive and Meadows Avenue in Merced.
“We wanted this community town hall block party to be a fun, safe place to bring kids to come out and meet us,” said Merced City Councilman Matthew Serratto. “The purpose of the event was to talk about the neighborhood and how the City can make improvements. We plan to use this event as a kickoff to a Loughborough focus improvement project in 2020.”
Merced City leaders will most likely do similar events to other neighborhoods throughout Merced, according to Serratto.
The Loughborough neighborhood is home to nearly 3,000 people.
