A family is displaced after a house fire in Atwater.
Firefighters responded to Juniper Avenue near Shaffer Road for a house fire late Thursday night.
Fire crews responded to the same address earlier that day for an exterior cooking fire that was put-out by locals. Fire crews stayed at the residence for two hours, checking for extensions, According to Battalion Chief Blaine Lopes.
After fire crews left the first time, Atwater fire responded back to the residence for reports of smoke and fire showing in the attic.
Fire crews were able to contain the fire in 35 minutes. Lopes said.
No other house caught fire.
Red Cross was on scene to assist the family.
No injuries were reported during the fire.
